This challenge was organized in collaboration with Vodafone Egypt, aimed at supporting technological based ideas in the field of education and assistive technologies for people with disabilities that are able to be locally manufactured and reach the market. The challenge came to light aligning both visions of Vodafone Misr El Kheir of supporting sustainable business that helps in the inclusion of Egypt’s most marginalized groups.
The selected teams participated in a two weeks boot camp through which they were encouraged, assisted and enabled technically in order to turn their promising ideas into viable prototypes. A variety of workshops and intensive training on business modeling were held as well. They received trainings in ideation, MVP building, product development, and in business.
Following this, the 10 selected teams, received technical support, mentorship and financial support of 5000 EGP each to work on designing and building their prototypes, where they, which showcased at a demo day where they crowned by success and a seed fund of100,000 EGP provided by Vodafone Egypt
