ABOUT GESR
What We Do
GESR is a program affiliated to MISR El KHEIR Foundation launched in 2013, showcasing its responsibility to contribute to a knowledge-based economy, through supporting innovators and technology startups solving social challenges in the fields of Water, Energy, Food/Agribusiness, Health, Education, AI and IOT
It supports social entrepreneurs with hardware/IoT innovations throughout the various stages of the innovation cycle; from idea to prototype, turning their prototypes into market-fit products, and helps them finding the matching investment opportunity.
In 2017, GESR became an EU-BIC Accredited incubator as part of The Social Innovation Cluster Project funded by the European Union
Social Challenge for Innovation
ExxonMobil Social Challenge in SaaS
For the fourth time in a row, GESR MEK and ExxonMobil Egypt have collaborated to present GESR MEK Social Challenge for Innovation in Software as a Service (SaaS) 2024-2025. The project aims to provide support covering several aspects that combine innovation and entrepreneurship in five tracks content Management, e-commerce Software, Digital Asset Management, Website Builder or Payment Gateways, and providing financial and in-kind support up to 175,000 for each team to help entrepreneurs implement their prototypes.
Pre-Incubation
For all people who have innovative ideas
SR MEK Pre-Incubation Program is offering teams with innovative early-stage projects prototyping fund up to EGP15,000 in technical support, training and mentorship, GESR MEK Innovation Lab Facilities (electronics, design and mechanical), and a co-working space. GESR MEK Pre-Incubation Program is targeting teams that work at the idea or proof-of-concept stage to develop a (Hardware & IoT) innovative product with market potential. Addressing social issues in one or more of these sectors: water, health, energy, food/agribusiness and education. Selection Criteria: Team with diverse skills and knowledge

GESR Social Challenge

GESR Misr El-Kheir announces the opening of the application for the social challenge. We are looking for teams with innovative ideas that have a social impact and are viable in the form of tangible prototypes to solve challenges related to the energy and environment sectors.
GESR Misr El-Kheir offers the winning teams the opportunity to finance up to 40,000 Egyptian pounds for each team, which is cash and in-kind funding in the form of technical, training, and mentoring support.
This project is funded by ExxonMobil Egypt.

We are looking for startups with a technical and a business team introducing new or improved functional prototypes with high innovation and social impact in the agribusiness field to turn into market-fit products.
GESR Misr Elkheir is offering an incubation period for 12 startup with a fund up to 30,000 Euros per startup (cash and in-kind) through funding, technical support, training, mentorship and networking.
This project is funded by the European Union.
